Avonell Jackson, our beloved MTAC member and former Bach Festival Chair, passed away in 2019. Avonell was a fierce proponent of Bach’s music and a dedicated teacher for many decades, so to honor her memory the highest scoring student from each festival is awarded the Avonell Jackson Memorial Scholarship Award. So that we can continue to bestow this award in Avonell’s memory throughout the coming years, donations made in her name to MTAC are greatly appreciated. Please contact Betty Pierskalla at 805.689.1277 to mail a check.
